Our services are provided 24/7, 365 days a year so you can be reassured that you will receive care all year round from a team of well-matched carers to best suit your needs and wishes.

Absolutely. Your carer will remain with you at all times to ensure you are cared for during an emergency. If you need to go to the hospital, they will come with you to support you. Your carer will liaise with your family and any other healthcare professionals to make sure everyone is informed of the situation and ensure you have reassurance.

Yes. As part of our considered care planning process, we ensure to match a member of our care team that best suits your specific needs, shares similar interests and values to provide consistency and continuity for your care. We will best match other care practitioners who will provide you with care and support when your main carer has holiday to ensure they understand what is important to you and to provide the same level of care.

From the first steps of arranging your care to Didcot Home Care providing you support, it will take approximately 3-5 working days. We will first arrange a visit to your home to discuss with you your individual requirements and the range of services we are able to provide for you. With this information we will write up your Care Plan which explains how we will support you to achieve your care. Once you have agreed for Didcot Home Care to provide you with care, you will be asked to sign the Care Plan, giving consent to all discussed as planned. Starting care is just that easy!

We employ the right staff for you who have the right knowledge, skills and qualifications to fulfil your wishes and to enable you through your care. We ensure staff take an interest in your life, promoting the things you like and do not like in your home and care. The staff allocated to support you will be chosen in accordance with matching their skills with your needs, to ensure you receive the utmost care.

When looking for home care, it can be challenging finding the appropriate care that you require. To determine what level of care you may need, look at your day-to-day activities and what you may need support with. For example, do you need assistance with personal care such as washing, dressing or grooming? Do you enjoy popping out to the shops but require assistance with finding the correct items? Or do you just enjoy a cup of tea and chat to have some company in your day?

Domiciliary home care is a popular alternative to living in a residential care home. It allows individuals to remain in the comfort of their own home and receive the appropriate level of care they require. Home care can range from companionship calls (minimum of 30 minutes) to full time live-in care.

Live-in care is where a carer will live with you in your home to remain on-hand throughout the day and in the night too if required. Live-in home care is fantastic for individuals who need assistance with personal care, medication prompting, household tasks, support with preparing meals and more. Live-in care removes the emotional distress an individual may feel when having to move out of their home and ensures they receive a level of attention and companionship further than what a care home could provide, where care practitioners focus is divided.

We provide you with a monthly invoice that is payable by direct debit, transferred cash or cheque based on how many visits you have and for how long every month. Your visits will be logged onto our care tracker app, where carers will sign in and out of your home on every visit they do. This information will match your care plan visits agreement, providing you with a monthly invoice.

If you wish to cancel our service, you may do this at any time (and for any reason) within 14 days from the date of agreement free of charge. If after 14 days where the cancellation period has ended you wish to leave for any reason, you will provide Didcot Home Care with at least 14 days’ written notice to terminate your care.
